That guy is an idiot storing that gas in his garage and next to the water. He will contaminate all his water. Well survival of the fittest right?

Where can you buy the 55 gallon drums for around $40? Also what is the best method of getting the water out - is there a pump of some sort that you can use with it?

This is actually my next prep I have planned and I want to start pricing these drums out...

Hmm, he is a lot better off than most but by how much. How long do you think those will last? A month? Week? He should really get a garden up and running and at least a couple fruit trees. Also I would invest more into the renewable energy sources. Diesel and gasoline are only going to last so long. What happens when you run out? Your screwed. If you have a wind generator or solar panels at least you'll have some electricity for the next 20 years.

The main emphasis you should be focusing on is going self-sufficient FOREVER. If no SHTF happens you'll save money on inflation and all the money you would have normally spent on food, water etc.
